Actually that's not what the nuns taught us in Catholic grammar school in the 1950's. Jew's and others persons sitting in darkness without Cross or Law could get into heaven based on "Baptism of Desire", i.e., trying lead a good life, rather than mere "Baptism of Water".

This is what O'Reilly claims HE was taught in Roman Catholic school also.

I propose a way to settle the matter. How about we hear the words of JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF?

John 14: 6Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Pretty straightforward and clear.

I can't vouch for O'Reilly and I don't have my Baltimore Catecism in front of me. Besides the nuns made it up as they went along. When my dog died, the good Sister told me that there was a special heaven for pets. (I wondered if dogs and cats got along in pet Heaven.)

Jesus is God, but it's not for us to determine who is going to Hell and who is not. Somthing to ponder Matt 25 34-40.

34   "Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My Father, (31) inherit the kingdom prepared for you (32) from the foundation of the world.
35   'For (33) I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; (34) I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;
36   (35) naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you (36) visited Me; (37) I was in prison, and you came to Me.'
37   "Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?
38   'And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?
39   'When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
40   "(38) The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, (39) to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.'

John 14: 6Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

i interpret that as jesus will be watching the door, and when the jews arrive, as any good father will do, he will open the door, whisper in their ears, "i am the messiah, come on in."

i read the left behind books and look forward to the remnant... i do not believe the jews are condemned in the writings.... they do accept jesus as the messiah early on but retain their "jewness"...

i consider myself jewish, but one messiah up on my jewish brethren...
