In 1965 the United States Supreme Court ruled that the criteria for conscientious objection could be broadened to include men who were not members of any religious denomination and in 1970 to include those who did not profess belief in a Supreme Being but had ethical or moral convictions against war.

Who can forget the boxer, Mohammed Ali, who refused to be drafted because he said pacifism was required of him as a follower of "the religion of peace."

We all know what pacifists the Moslems are.

Not exactly. Ali said "No Vietcong ever called me a nigger" and that he had no quarrel with them. He naver claimed to be a religious pacifist.
