You know, I'm basically the opposite of these people. I'd like to see the gov't do away with practically everything they spend money on
except the military. I'd like to see about 95% of the Budget get spent on Defense. We could park about 50 carrier groups in the Persian Gulf, 100 carrier groups of the shore of China and make the sky dark with B52s 24 hours a day. A Middle East invasion force of 250,000? I'd make it 5 million Swinging Richards and 50,000 tanks, start in Iraq and I wouldn't stop until I had marched all the way through China.
That's just me though...
95% sounds about right, but why conquer the world? Far most cost-effective to be unassailable.
