This comment, by the admin moderator, was buried deep within a thread on Sean Hannity and addressed the bitter and often 'dirty' in-fighting that seems to be occurring on this forum on a regular basis. The Moderator gave permission to have it posted as a separate thread for further discussion as warranted.

And Registered and I have discussed in the past, that we thought he not only had several different accounts, but was also a liberal disrupter. I kept my mouth shut simply because I wasn't sure.

Another account that I suspect ned had was under the screename "humblethefiend".

I had noticed several times that "ned" had posted cryptic messages inside his own, that pointed to the fact that he was also humblethefiend.

I sent him a Freepmail informing him of his obvious mistake.

I like to remember the options for dealing with the swineiforous Jesse Jackson: laugh at and ignore.

I found this site sometime in the summer of 2000 just before the election. I was pretty impressed and gave the site to several other people. During the Florida recount I got more news here than anywhere else. I have donated two times to keep the site goint.

Having said all that let me say that I am more than a little frustrated in the last 6 months to a year here. I am a Bush supporter and make no mistake. While open to conservatives who may have some frustration with him, I am turned off by the constant bashing of Bush by many here. What I am not sure of is how much of that represents real Freepers and how much represents the disrupters. It makes a difference to me, because I do not feel much of anything in common with folks who intend to take a hike the next election because Bush is not conservative enough for them and who feel the need to bash him as much as what goes on here. So I am frustrated and will probably continue to monitor but don't really feel like contributing to keep going at this point.

I might also add that most of the people that I turned onto this site have turned off to it because they see things as a bit radical for them.

I'm looking for a group that while their might be some disagreement on how to proceed still keeps in mind that winning is also important. That because I may not be as far right as them does not make me some left wing loony or a RINO. A term that while worthwhile is certainly misused by some folks here.

Is this the place for me? Right now I am not sure. This topic will probably keep me around a bit longer, but my feeling is that it is not the forum it was when I managed to stumble on it in mid 2000.

I have reverted to lurking becuse I have sensed that there is both a concerted and focused effort on the part of organized "opinion shapers" as well as those that "get their rocks off" inciting flames wars et. al.

In a post that I offered some time ago, i indicated that I was watching certain individuals that seem to use the same invectives and demeaning language, althought there were different screen names. Several people sent me frep-mail and told me that I was both correct and crazy (I prefer to think of myself as being correct). Free Republic is an anathma to the liberals. It is therefore not surprising that there would be effrots to deride and derail its existance and mission. But, it continues. The resiliance of this forum often astounds me. But, vigilance is eternal. Freepers have to be painfully aware that there will continue to be those, whose mission in life is to incite flame wars and at their most successful, sic the law on obtuse statements that are made in the heat of the moment. The largest liberal victory would be for Free Republic to pull the plug. So, we cannot let that happen.
