Ann Coulter, who's blockbuster book "Slander: Liberal Lies about the American Right" hit #1 on the NY Times non-fiction best-seller list, just said she "Loves Free Republic" when a Freeper called in to praise the popular Conservative author.

I wonder how she feels about animals.
From "Evolution of the Strumpet" - June 16, 2000 :
"...As entertaining as their theories are, evolutionary biologists are missing a central piece of the puzzle:

There is a God, and we're in His image. This is the same fly in the ointment with wacky animal-rights types who won't eat animals on principle. The reason it's OK to eat chickens, but not humans, is that chickens aren't in God's image..."

We destroy our own on the conservative side; we don't need liberals to do a thing.

Sad but too often true. I've seen Ann Coulter - a fantastic voice for conservatives and doing great work in the battlefields of the liberal media - attacked on FR for not being 'a good enough debater', 'wearing sleazy outfits' (this immediately disqualifies her from ever representing conservatives again in some people's tiny minds) and of course, being too thin, as if this made any real difference.

I believe that after reading Ann Coulter's book, 'Slander' as well as hearing and watching her debate and discuss politics and the lies of the left, you have to admire the woman for her brains if not her beauty. Those who persist in nit-picking and fault finding Coulter are either lifetime sour-pusses who don't have a good word for anything or anyone or just liberal infiltrators and disrupters, masquarading as conservatives on FR.

Ann is a big Second Amendment fan, hates abortion, taxes and generally supports all the common conservative positions. I doubt you'll see her adopt any weird, leftist political position anytime soon (the next 50 years). She may disagree with some minor point here and there and get flack for that (probably from the Libertarian gang on FR) but Ann Coulter is a conservative and has proven many it times over.

Many of those who nitpick her cannot come within a hundred miles of accomplishing what Ann has for conservatives and that may sometimes be the negative emotion behind some of the inevitible Ann-bashing you see. If so, those are a fringe contingent and not to be considered in comparison to Ann's accomplishments. If Coulter did nothing else but write 'Slander' she would have earned her place as a foremost conservative of the early 21st century. Her expose of the left's lies and tactics is invaluable and will help continue the crack in the left's grip of the media (especially TV) and public opinion.

Ann Coulter is #1 - just like her book.

Hey bud...and I love her right back.

You have to read "Slander"...I bought it under the mistaken notion that it was the official Larry Klayman biography, and imagine my surprise!!!

All joking aside, the first chapter alone is worth every penny you pay.

Here's a blurb from Chapter 1, Ann has just finished giving several examples of leftist media's peronal attacks on conservative women.

"More than any of their other hate speech, the left's attacks on women for being ugly tell you everything. There is nothing so irredeemably cruel as an attack on a woman for her looks. Attacking a female for being ugly is a hideous thing, always inherently vicious. Unless it's a guy in a dress. That's always funny. Two unbending rules of the universe are: (1) It is horrendous to attack a woman for her looks and (2) A guy in a dress is hilarious. Everyone knows this."

"So, which women are constantly being called ugly? Is it Maxine waters, Chelsea Clinton, Janet Reno, or Madeleine Albright? No, none of these. Only conservative women have their looks held up to ridicule because only liberals would be so malevolent. A blind man in America would think the ugliest women to darken the planet are Paula Jones, Linda Tripp, and Katherine Harris. This from the party of Bella Abzug."

Buy the book.

I am half-way through "Slander" also. Do you find yourself reading it and hearing Ann's voice and tempo in your head? I do ... it is like having a little Ann in there reading away.

THANK YOU ANN FOR A VERY INTERESTING BOOK (and the little voice in me head)!

The truth is, most men are intimidated by her looks, fame, and financial success; those who aren't intimidated by these things are intimidated by her education and overwhelming intelligence, and the very, very few who don't find those things intimidating are terrified by her mouth!

*SIGH* I know how you feel, Ann. :)

Your observation reminds me of Ann's story about another FReeper, now gone: BKO.

From "This Is War" - September 13 , 2001:

BARBARA OLSON kept her cool. In the hysteria and terror of hijackers herding passengers to the rear of the plane, she retrieved her cell phone and called her husband, Ted, the solicitor general of the United States. She informed him that he had better call the FBI — the plane had been hijacked. According to reports, Barbara was still on the phone with Ted when her plane plunged in a fiery explosion directly into the Pentagon.

Barbara risked having her neck slit to warn the country of a terrorist attack. She was a patriot to the very end.

This is not to engage in the media's typical hallucinatory overstatement about anyone who is the victim of a horrible tragedy. The furtive cell phone call was an act of incredible daring and panache. If it were not, we'd be hearing reports of a hundred more cell phone calls. (Even people who swear to hate cell phones carry them for commercial air travel.)

The last time I saw Barbara in person was about three weeks ago. She generously praised one of my recent columns and told me I had really found my niche. Ted, she said, had taken to reading my columns aloud to her over breakfast.

I mention that to say three things about Barbara. First, she was really nice. A lot of people on TV seem nice, but aren't. (And some who don't seem nice, are.) But Barbara was always her charming, graceful, vebullient self. "Nice" is an amazingly rare quality among writers. In the opinion business, bitter, jealous hatred is the norm. Barbara had reason to be secure.

Second, it was actually easy to imagine Ted reading political columns aloud to Barbara at the breakfast table. Theirs was a relationship that could only be cheaply imitated by Bill and Hillary — the latter being a subject of Barbara's appropriately biting bestseller, Hell to Pay. Hillary claimed preposterously in the Talk magazine interview that she discussed policy with Bill while cutting his grapefruit in the morning. Ted and Barbara really did talk politics — and really did have breakfast together.

It's "Ted and Barbara" just like it's Fred and Ginger, and George and Gracie. They were so perfect together, so obvious, that their friends were as happy they were on their wedding day. This is more than the death of a great person and patriotic American. It's a human amputation.

Third, since Barbara's compliment, I've been writing my columns for Ted and Barbara. I'm always writing to someone in my head. Now I don't know who to write to. Ted-and-Barbara were a good muse... more

LOL!

She (and you) just have not yet found Mr. Right. Not to worry; there are MANY conservative men out there who are self-confident enough to appreciate a strong, articulate, attractive, intelligent and finacially successful woman.

Perhaps there are not as many of them in the "blue state" strongholds of NYC, DC - or Michigan, however.

You (and she) could always MOVE... :o)

*SIGH* again... all the good ones are taken, it seems... This is for you, Ann, and all the other single, conservative chicks out there looking for Mr. Right...

God, I feel like hell tonight
Tears of rage I cannot fight
I'd be the last to help you understand
Are you strong enough to be my man?

Nothing's true and nothing's right
So let me be alone tonight
Cause you can't change the way I am
Are you strong enough to be my man?

When I've shown you that I just don't care
When I'm throwing punches in the air
When I'm broken down and I can't stand
Will you be strong enough to be my man?

Well...that's pretty rude. Just because she's single and no kids . . . .

I think it's a big red flag flapping in the wind, while at the same time I acknowledge that there are some mature, life-long singles.

Then why doesn't she ever Freepmail me to tell me how brilliant I am and how she looks forward to my every post?

Good go, Ann. You are among the extremely few I truly admire. Phyllis is higher up in that league.

That's because I made varicose veins into an erogenous zone, dear! *rimshot*

No way...

Way! Check out his IMDB Filmography. Between 1994 and 1998 he cranked out *ahem* 20 gay porn movies. A lot of the titles are unprintable here, but I think I can safely note that he's the star of both Transsexual Prostitutes and Transsexual Prostitutes 2, Halfway House Hunks, Latin Crotch Rockets, and many many more! His porn name is "Sam Ritter."

Interestingly, for the last film on his list, he switched back to real films, appearing in something called "Famous Again." Then he just dropped off the map.

Oh..so you are saying Ann is immature...and apparently a life-long single. You must be a seer.
I know alot of immature people that get married just so someone will take care of them and they don't care how rotten the marriage is ...just as long as the guy makes money and they get his pension.. Which is probably more than half the woman in this country if not more. THen another percentage of woman will never get married because they may be overweight and the real mature men won't marry them..so they settle for MR. Anybodywilldo.
Men will marry out of immaturity because if their wife gains weight they don't want them anymore. Then another large percentage only marry because they are afraid to be alone....and another percentage marry because they don't want to be stereotyped as a old maid or lonely old man. That's real maturity too. Then another percentage of woman marry becuase they want kids so they can stay home and not have to work a job and just be supported...and play house. Then half of all marrieds only have kids because it was an accident. Notice how many only have one kid? I think that your statement is immature.

at the same time I acknowledge that there are some mature, life-long marrieds
