he still hasn't decreased the size and scope of government at all

That's a bit trickly in war and a slack economy. Other than blowing out the disgraceful farm bill, and the steel quotas, why don't you just list the cuts you favor. Please try to find some that are in double digit billions. Ranting about the Endowment for the Humanities or PBS simply won't cut it.

List I favor of cutting? All but perhaps the military. I'd start with cutting out the IRS, the DEA, the NEA, the drug war billions we send to other countries (such as previously the taliban, columbia, etc), the billions we send over in foreign aid every year, etc etc etc all would be a great start

Texas: every single one of those items were on the Bush budget or signed by Bush afterwards.

I know you weren't talking to me, but I'm answering anyway...not to be rude, but because I wanted to share my opinion.

Kill the Department of Education. Completely do away with it. Give back all of the money to the states, meaning reduce the taxpayers' annual burden by the amount of the (now gone) ed dept. Let the states' dept of ed. do their thing. That should save a dollar or two. It's late. Maybe on another day I'll decide on the next department to get rid of.
