What do you think of President Bush recently calling on Congress to review the law that bans the military from participating in arrests, searches, and seizure of evidence on U.S. soil?

Well maybe he wanted the review to make sure he didn't violate the law. I saw a whole lot of people on this forum yelling to put troops on the border, and snickering that the National guard was patrolling the airports with unloaded guns. You tell me given the fact that Bush as CIC can declare martial law anyway.

And I have seen the same folks who scream for him to put troops on the border...screaming JUST as loud about him asking to have the law reviewed. Another lose/lose for GW.

"Well maybe he wanted the review to make sure he didn't violate the law."

That is the lamest exuse ever. Please come up with a better argument.

"I saw a whole lot of people on this forum yelling to put troops on the border, and snickering that the National guard was patrolling the airports with unloaded guns."

The military's presence at airports was only meant to be a temporary safety precaution, not a permanent policy.

"You tell me given the fact that Bush as CIC can declare martial law anyway."

I want to know what martial law means to you, before I answer that question.
