This is true. It is unfortunate a significant number of Freepers have begun resorting to this type of behavior when they attempt to argue emotion-laden issues. Many of us have been flamed in this regard at one time or another. But I haven't seen too many anti-Hannity comments of this nature, so can only presume Sean is criticizing Freepers who criticize other republicans.
My question is this: Are we simply suppose to accept the administration, or GOP, "line" on everything? Bill O'Reilly as a tendency to trash anyone who disagrees with him at all. Does Sean think this is appealing? In my opinion, it is not.
There is a big difference between blindly trashing groups of people( i.e., freepers, "The Christian Right, "Fox News" "Bushbots") and pointing out specific instances of "wrongdoing." Can't think of any other word. Nobody, including GWB or Sean Hannity,is perfect.
On FR, we simply like to discuss who is simply screwing up and who is trying to screw us. It's not always that easy to determine. If all we did was commend George W and his crew, nobody would visit and FR would soon be out of business. The same thing would happen at Fox News.
Sean, baby, YOU'RE A TALKSHOW HOST. GROW UP!!!!! YOU'RE GOING TO HEAR FROM A LOT OF IDIOTS.
Trashing, or ignoring other conservatives isn't going to work. Nobody (or at least very few) ever died from trying to hold an intellectual conversation. But a lot of people remained ignorant and got in trouble (Judas included) for walking out of the room too soon. Hang in there, Sean, and all the rest, and have hope. It'll never be perfect, but there are loads of us (conservatives) out here, even though we're all very different. And our day will come again.
No, I don't believe he's upset with folks who criticize other Republicans; he's done that himself, and has disagreed with some administration policies.
I believe that he's just sick and tired of seeing threads here that trash other FReepers, Rush, Levin, Keyes, and others; all of whom have had valid disagreement with "the party line" at one point or another.
The way certain threads degenerate into name-calling is pretty much predictable nowadays... unfortunately even this one.
