Here's somebody's chance to test the old programming saying about something being as hard as "kicking dead whales down the beach."

What probably won't make headline news is the problem of where to put more than 40 tons of rapidly decaying whales.

Hyannisport? Kennedy Compound?

I can't stop thinking that until the 20th century, 40 tons of whale meat arriving on the same beach would have occasioned work parties, celebrations and prayers of thanksgiving by the locals.

The reason these whales have beached themselves, is now clear. Just as my dog knows when I am 5 minutes from comming home, and waits by the door, whales also posess this "Animal ESP". These whales know that Ted Kennedy's liver is about to give out, and have decided to make the ultimate donation.
