It would be interesting to find out what percentage of Americans share your view, which is a very interesting one. As a conservative and strict follower of the American constitution, you oppose globalization and foreign alliances. But on the other hand, you support Israel, which for Americans is a very visible and high-stakes foreign alliance. And you add that you support Israel because of religious (not political) reasons (based I suppose on Old Testament prophecy).

There is a curious thing happening in the US, with the modern state of Israel finding support from a share of Americans who have a religious kinship with the biblical Israel. These same Americans consider themselves conservative and against foreign entanglements; and oppose globalization even though earlier versions of today's "globalization" helped give birth to modern Israel after WW II.

Is history or geography taught in US schools anymore? There is a curious theme today among conservative Americans to "cherry-pick" which version of globalization to approve.

First, let me thank you for wording your criticism as gently as you have.

Second, this should not be hard to understand for a person as obviously as intelligent and articulate as you. I SUPPORT THE CONSTITUTION and thus, no foreign entanglements, because I believe that to be the wisest path in world relations. In other words,...I don't lean over the fence and tell my neighbor how he will or will not live his life. However, if my neighbor wants to tell me how to live mine, then I will defend my way of life, no matter what that neighbor may think or no matter what the cost to me or that neighbor.

As for my support of the nation of Isreal, it transcends to a higher level of relationship than meddlesome political intervention. God promised, that although Isreal would be scattered (as they were) that they would also become a nation again (as they have). While I realize from reading your posts that you do not share my beliefs,...they are still mine. Because I choose to follow Christ (who was a Jew) I choose also to support God's chosen people. ...It's that simple. In other words, I do not believe that the hand of man can accomplish anything without the official Okee-Dokee of the Lord. ...If you remember anything, remember this about people (to include yourself, I am sure)

"A belief is not merely an idea that the mind possesses,...it is an idea that possesses the mind."
