The anti-white-male racist/sexist bias of PBS (rescinded only for flaming liberals) was reflected during a moment of the African programming segment called the "Return from the Sahel." [late July, 2002]
In this program a black boy from the central latitudes of the Dark Continent is shown during part of his rites of manhood, herding cattle to the edge of the Sahara Desert, then returning home....(snip)
As we watched, we thought of the legions of Julius Caesar, marching in full armor on a handful of grain a day....(snip)For complete article click here.
But, in the upsidedowncake world of the mainstream press all good ended and all bad began with the inauguration of Bush? Bias there is, friends, but no mainstream media conspiracy. Nobody as moronic as America's mainstream media could organize a conspiracy.
They are all actually that stupid. Lehrer, Jennings, Rather, Brokaw, and all their subordinate compatriots from Terry Moran to Eleanor Clift. They are all actually that stupid.
That is just beautiful!! And full of the truth and accuracy so removed from the liberal media. Thank you for this post.
I was reminded of my college days, where an Asian (Chinese) woman worked in our lab and described her exploits on the "Asian Volleyball Team." When asked if we (white guys) could join, we were told "you can practice with us, but you can't join the team."
Funny how there was never a "Caucasian Volleyball Team" on campus. Guess that would have been racist or something!
I was hoping for the Asian Nude Volleyball Team. I'd be content to remain a spectator.

Well, yeah...especially if they're teaching facts like this:
...the Army of the Potomac in Valley Forge that terrible winter...
White Men Couldn't Do It
The anti-white-male racist/sexist bias of PBS (rescinded only for flaming liberals) was reflected during a moment of the African programming segment called the "Return from the Sahel" (late July, 2002)
In this program, a black boy from the central latitudes of the Dark Continent is shown during part of his rites of manhood, herding cattle to the edge of the Sahara Desert, then returning home. If he has done well, and the cattle are fat and healthy, a bride will be chosen for him.
The trip home involves walking from dawn to dusk across a hard land. Speaking in their native tongue, translated into print on the screen, this boy and his friends said that the trip is difficult. White men couldn't do it.
As we watched, we thought of the legions of Julius Caesar, marching in full armor on a handful of grain a day, conquering the known world, including the great civilizations of Africa. We thought of the Vikings sailing tiny open boats across the north Atlantic, and the Europeans (British, Dutch, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese) navigating wooden ships the size of a modern eighteen wheeler truck and trailer completely around the Earth.
We thought of the white men who invented the technology that allowed the world to watch the white man who first walked on the moon. We thought of the men of the Army of the Republic in Valley Forge that terrible winter, and of the mountain men who walked alone the far places of the American West, and of Aeschuylus, Socrates, DaVinci, Kepler, Newton, Shakespeare, Bach, Beethoven, Motzart, Thomas Jefferson, Sam Adams, Marconi, Tolstoy, Darwin, Homer, Dante, Einstein, the Wright Brothers, Lindberg, Churchill, Edison and Henry Ford.
Shall we say that black men couldn't do what those white men did? In what manner would PBS react to those words from a white boy in one of their so-called documentaries? What narrative would be written adjacent to such a comment? What dischordant or sonorous turn would the background music take?
Give no aid to public broadcasting. Do not send them a dime. They would have you believe the words and deeds of this ignorant, backward, racist, black, juvenile African cattle herder. They believe that racism and slavery, both of which were invented and promulgated by the ancestors of this black African boy, are alone the sin of the white male. Thus instead of lifting the black race do they attempt to reach equality by lowering the white race. (The personal benefit is that they increase excuses and lower expectations for their own performance in the process.)
Unable to avoid the accomplishments of the greatest human beings who ever lived, damn near all of them white and damn near all of them male, they cast dirt on these accomplishments by allowing such slurs as this to stand without comment..
Your elected representatives, for the most part intellectual lightweights or moral cowards, will continue to force you to support via tax dollars this ongoing denegration of your white sons, but you do not have to help them with additional voluntary donations. Give no aid to the dumbing down of America by the racist, sexist bigots of public broadcasting and their lackeys in public education.
Support instead those efforts which teach that all men contain within their souls the potential for good or evil, and that the way you tell one from the other is by the fruits of their words and deeds.
That fruit which is good is that which increases the potential of the individual, alone or in free and open association with other individuals, to accomplish, to create, to improve their own lives without benefit of forced redistribution of the property of others. That which is evil is that which perforce assumes all as the property of the state, and assembles men into groups pitted one against the other by reason of prejudice.
July 09, 2002, all the major networks -- The sight of Barney Frank grilling a corporate executive about why he didn't know every detail of what was going on in one of the largest companies in the world? Ludicrous. Barney Frank didn't know his boyfriend was running a homosexual house of prostitution in Frank's own basement! The idea of Dick Gephart criticizing the operational procedures of Enron as a financial scam? Titanic hypocrisy from a leader of the party that created the only bank in history that cashed checks on accounts without requiring deposits! Do you recall the House bank? Do you recall who brought it down? It wasn't Dick Gephart. He was shocked when Newt pointed out the problem existed!
Tom Daschle unhappy with corporate money mazes? This from a man who wants to pour more billions in I.O.U.s into Social Security, the world's largest Ponzi scheme? Maxine Waters complaining about "cowboy capitalism?" This from a longtime supporter of Jesse "James" Jackson, who has for decades robbed American corporations by threatening them with false charges of racism?
Jim Lehrer laying blame for WorldCom and Enron at the feet of George Bush -- completely unaware that both companies existed long before he moved to the White House? Two parts stupidity and one part biased rationalization. All this was going on years before Bush announced he would run for the presidency. The fact that it is coming to light since he won the presidency is an indication that after he took office the bad guys Clinton had been in bed with finally reached the end of their rope. It means Janet Reno can no longer suppress evidence of corruption, and John Ashcroft is a beaut of an honest cop.
Ah, the liberal arm of the Fourth Estate.
Clinton was a good guy for encouraging Moslem terrorists to drag dead marines behind African jeeps. Bush is a bad guy for bringing down the Taliban government of Afghanistan that used to publicly execute women for adultery. Clinton's aim was so bad he blew up Sudanese aspirin factories. Bush's aim was so good he dropped daisycutters within six meters of the intended target from five miles in the sky.
Clinton's campaign funds were so dirty that they had to be delivered to the back door of the White House in canvas bags full of sequentially numbered money orders with the names of dead people as signatories. Bush's campaign funds were so clean that every contributor was listed on a website within days of making the donation. Clinton's donors were often citizens of foreign nations. Bush's donors were all citizens of America. Clinton slaughtered women and children in Waco, Texas and sent children back to Cuban slavery. Bush freed the women and children of Afghanistan, giving them freedom and new hope.
July 5, PBS, Bill Moyers' NOW - Celebrating the coming socialization of the world was the order of the day after Independence Day. The propaganda began with an expose of an American engineering firm from from San Francisco which became the water boy for Bolivia when that nation slid into poverty because the WTO and the World Bank ordered them to stop growing coca leaf.
You see, according to the American-educated President of Bolivia, which is where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were last filmed, the cocaine business represented the same percentage of his nation's economy as agriculture and (I believe he said) steel does to America.
For some reason not explained, after the cocaine money was gone, everybody ran out of water. The Bolivian government set up a water bureau, and it didn't get any water to anybody. When Bolivia took the money from the World Bank it privatized the water bureau. Bechtel (the San Francisco engineering company) spent a wad and started to bring water to people. Unfortunately, Bechtel does not have the power to tax Americans to pay for water for Bolivians. (Only the federal government via the IRS can do that.) When Bechtel raised rates to pay for the cost of bringing water to the Bolivian populace, the Bolivian populace, stirred up by union leaders wearing Mao caps, went into the streets. Bechtel left Bolivia and the commies made victory speeches. No other private corporations in the world will invest in Bolivia any more, and the Bolivian people have no water.
Next on the program, Moyers had a Cambridge (England) economist who was gassed at one of the recent anti-WTO/World Bank meetings. She is a socialist and says that socialism is winning all over the world. This means she doesn't even know what recently happened across the English Channel, where a conservative candidate scared the bemarx out of French socialists in a recent election. Her explanation of the Bolivian problem was that corporate profit, capitalism, doesn't care about poor people.
The next guest was Normal Lear, who claims to revere the Declaration of Independence (an original copy of which he owns) and the U.S. Constitution, neither of which he understands. There is a disconnect in Norman´s brain. The phrase, "the pursuit of happiness"; to him means "guaranteed equal outcome". He didn't have anything to say about Bolivia. In fact, all he had to say was that he is a true American patriot because his grandfather used to write to the president. Lear, in a moment of honesty, said that America really belonged to him.
Do not give any money to PBS, friends. Not a dime. This program and the one that preceded it, Washington Week in Review, and the one that followed it here in Oregon, Seven Days, are stacked to the rafters with liberals. The representatives of the media, the moderators and the guests are all enemies of truth and reason, or just simple-minded fools whose brains have been destroyed by our public school system and more prominent universities.
Do not give these people one dime. For every dime you give them voluntarily, they will take a hundred dollars from you in the form of expanding government and declining individual rights. They will further strangle the private economy, further outlaw your religion, futher support America's enemies, further warp your language with limitations on what is and what isn't PC, further propagandize your kids and further your domestication by the state.
You saw what the judges in the Ninth Circuit court did recently. PBS loves that judge. Don't finance them ever again.

We have been informed that a poster named "dvwjr" lifted the entire text of our editorial, White Men Couldn't Do It, and reprinted it on FR. It is bad manners (not to mention against the law) to do that without permission from the original source. If we weren't friends of Jim Robinson, we'd sue the site for bullshit like that.
Please inform this "dvwjr" that one of the key characteristics of a conservative is respect for other people's property.
