Back in my high school drug classes in the 70's we were taught that marijuana was not a physically addictive drug, that it may be psychologically addictive, but not physically...like say alcohol, heroin or coke is.

If you would READ the article you would find that it mentions the fact that marijuana today is far more powerful than it was in your "high school drug classes in the 70's."

Knee-jerk reactions are also indicative of heavy drug use.

There sure must be lots of heavy drug users on FR then! ROFL!!

I'm sorry A2J, I know you were trying to make the "those who don't think like me are all druggies" point.

and I DID read the article.... sorry, I'm just not swallowing it hook, line and sinker.

If you would do research you would find that the comparason is made of the delta-9 for the lowest commercial form of cannabis available in the '60's to the highest available now. Actually, the average grade on the street now has a much lower THC level than that in the '60's.

This is one of the several contrived lies contained in the article. Do you guys ever read actual studies on the topic? Sometimes, I think that there are people who really believe that if a written piece can make it into print it must, ipso facto, have accurate information.

What does it matter what the concentration per dose is when determining whether or not a chemical substance is addictive? The chemical itself is the same. It's like saying that beer is not addictive but rum is. The reality is that both have alcohol, and alcohol is either addictive or it is not. The concentration per does is irrelevent.

I guess this explains your reactions to the topic of ENDING the war on Americans, commonly called the war on drugs. Get to a treatment program immediately!
