How the hell was he able to get on a plane?

He shipped himself as a box of goat cheese.

Biometrics would make fake IDs far more difficult, if not impossible.

(These are fighting words for the libetarians. Watch them post and blast within 2 minutes. Their definition of freedom is more important to them then life itself, even our life. Especially our children's lives.)

Yes, Do it for the children.

"I would rather die then ever go back to middle school."

This quote is a perfect depiction of those ranting against stronger Homeland Security. They would rather die than go back to middle school; hey, if that's what you want for yourself, fine. The scarey part is these libetarians would rather the rest of us die along with them, especially pleasing to them is the death of children, then go to middle school (strenghthen Homeland Security.) Scarey.

He was tipped off. The FBI is apparently compromised.

You got that right! No other reasonable explanation.

Of course, the leak may not have been the FBI (although I wouldn't doubt it). There were a lot of people involved in the investigation and probably the warrant and search. They ought to track down the leak and make the leaker serve the sentence. There is no less than a "spy" in the organization.

in this article about a recent tragic event, the writer cannot distinguish between "to" and "too" (consistently) nor does he seem aware that "it's" is a contraction of "it is" ... FWIW ...

There's no reason why the U.S. could not exert pressure on Egypt to send this bastard back.

And yet we won't. Can't offend our so called friends.

Security was too busy strip searching my 82 year old Ploish mother in a wheel chair to check out his phony ID. In addition to that when asked where he was from and what company he worked for they thought Saudi Arabia was in New Jersy and Al Queada was an International Company selling rugs.

Why did the FBI wait so long and who (presumably) tipped him off so he could flee the country.

"apparently left on a flight to Egypt hours before authorities raided his home and businesses Wednesday, officials said. "

Sounds like a mole tipped somebody off.

Well, no doubt our efficient and lips sealed government investigators gave him plenty of notice through the various witnesses questioned.

By the time these guys acted, anyone could've gotten away.

The good news is that everyday we have reports of arrests of suspects and frequently catching some 'red-handed'. We'll get this guy, don't worry.

One could hope that the FBI and other homeland security types let him go so as to root out another nest of vipers. I am not convinced, however, that the FBI, et. al. are that smart.

Sounds like he may have been tipped off as to the impending raid. Think so?

joyfull,

If you want to be "tagged" and tracked by the benevolent federal government, fine. Maybe they can feed you and let you play outside every day too.

Myself, I will fight and, if need be, die to ensure liberty. Now that is something worth doing for the children.

You know, I must agree with that crazy libertarian Patrick Henry who said, "Give me liberty or give me death!"
