Who laughed when this idea first came up? This began as a free country, who then could have thought government today would be telling us what we could eat?

who then could have thought government today would be telling us what we could eat? Those of us who wonder how the government can tell us what to smoke, snort, and inject aren't surprised at all.

If people let government decide which foods they eat and medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.

No doubt the bill will be authored by Nadler.

I think that I am going to have TWO Whoppers today...and not that crappy Chicken kind... In fact, I think that I will make them double Whoppers.
Bill Frist is a doctor, so I can understand why he would support this... as a doctor. But, he needs to realize that he is supposed to uphold his duties of office, which includes NOT doing things like this.
Looks like the "Fat Tax" is gaining momentum...

Want to discourage obesity? Encourage insurance companies to raise premiums for the obese. Make them pay through the nose for their own lack of self-discipline. I dare say the shot to their wallets might get through to them. And Heaven knows, I'm tired of having my premiums and taxes hiked to pay for the rampant lack of self-control exhibited by so many people.

"Getting people to eat healthy?" one customer mused over the legislation at a Washington-based McDonald's. "I think half of them have to learn to eat healthy before they can vote on it. A lot of them are a lot bigger than a lot of people out here on the streets."

Kind of reminds me of comedian Denis Leary's monologue in the movie
Demolition Man...
"I want fat, I want cholesterol! I wanna eat butter and bacon and BUCKETS of cheese! Why?! Because maybe I might feel like it!"

Big Macs are on sale this week. I plan to indulge. Christopher Dodd is no will-'o-the-wisp himself. It's obvious the guy likes to eat more than bean sprouts.

People need to understand that the coming poverty which will forced on the masses once the Hitlery led communists take full control of our country will take care of the "obesity" problem. Laws are not needed - even if they are desired - which they are not!
But, the insanity continues.

How much have you paid in taxes this year so far?$32,000. That works out to 32,000 double cheeseburgers from the McD's dollar menu to celebrate the Fat Tax. Oh, wait- I forgot the tax on my burgers.....
