I think you and I are on the same page.
Today is my day for predictions. There will never be an independent West Bank. It is not a viable entity.
The West Bank is simply land from the original Palestine that has not been definitively assigned to Israel or Jordan. It is the subject for negotiation between Jordan and Israel, and no one else. If Jordan will administer it, and stop the killing, fine. If Jordan will not, and in point of fact, they want nothing to do with it, then Israel must do so.
In that case, West Bank residents have the option of living in peace under Israeli law, or leaving. Israel can pay them for their property, and compensate them for their removal, but they must go.
But the details of the settlement are subjects for negotiation between Jordan and Israel, and no one else. No one else is a party to the discussion, because no one else has any standing in it.
Most specifically, the UN and NGO organizations who are presently at work must either place themselves under Israeli supervision, or be likewise expelled. In the present circumstance, they enable the killing to go on. They must go.
