Isn't overture losing more and more business due to other companies signing with google (and of Googles site itself getting more business)? I mean who uses altavista and hotbot and lycos anymore?

Sure, Overture has lost some business, but pound for pound they still provide the best reach bar none. The Google product has potential but many many bugs, and other than AOL, they don't have close to the number of partners that Overture has. MSN and Yahoo are locked into Overure for the next several years, and the deal Google gave AOL and ASsk Jeeves is not sustainable and it's likely they'll make very little if any profit from it.. Don't be surprised if Google gets purchased by AOL, although with their recent troubles Google may not get the exit strategy they're hoping for.
My money is with both of them, but Overture is far more cost effective. BTW, I have over 6000 search terms out there and have been doing this since 98, so I kind of have the hang of it.
