If you or I took a drink in public at 20, the world would yawn. But then again, our every movement wouldn't be recorded by the intrusive press, and our folks never lived in the WhiteHouse. When the twins were caught a big to do was made about it - but they keep getting caught again and again. You know some slimy Democrat strategist is going to come up with some negative ad about Bush with words like: "How can Bush claim to be for family values, when his own children don't even respect the law?"

You got it - and with their luck, I wouldn't be surprised if such an ad showed with the girls on tape at some bar either drinking or asking for a drink. I certainly wouldn't put it past Carville.

Even worse when they can use Texas's tough underage drinking law that Bush signed as a hypocritical attempt to call him a...a...hypocrite. Damn where's that thesaurus.

I don't think you need to worry about that. The only people who even care about this are the Bush haters who will never vote for him anyway and Bush lovers who hate to see anything that might be perceived as negative for him.

Most people will see this for what it is, a non event that if anything makes it easier for ordinary people to relate to the Bush family.

If the Democrats use this in a campaign ad they will run the risk of being perceived as mean and nasty by the general public.
