July 30, 2002 -- Rep. Gary Condit claims the media wanted him to say he "did" slain intern Chandra Levy, and compares newscaster Connie Chung to Russian President Vladimir Putin in an angry, defiant interview, it was reported today.

The Washington Post said that in the interview with Esquire magazine, the California Democrat blames the media for his problems after he was romantically linked to Levy, whose remains were found in a Washington D.C., park on May 22.

He never appeared. Too bad for Connie since the ONLY interesting show she had was when Traficant appeared last week. Connie remained in her usual catatonic state during that interview but it didn't make any difference since Traficant basically took over her show. Hell, a rock could interview Traficant and it would still be interesting. Come to think of it, when Traficant appeared on Connie's show, a rock did interview him.
