Ad Melkert is no a leading politician and never was. His party kicked him out. The only reason for him getting this post is the other Dutch politicians are rid of him. Good politicians get nice jobs at leading companies, but nobody wants a loser, so he was shipped off to the World Bank.
He is a salon-elitists of the worst kind and lies even about facts. So a true socialist. He became really hated after several discussions with Pim Fortuyn. Melkert accused Fortuyn of being a nazi and snubbed at him. He caused a lot of PvdA voters to vote for other parties.
His former party, the PvdA is known for it's anti-Israel/pro-Palestinian ideas. The front-man of their public broadcaster, Marcel van Dam (a former PvdA minister) thinks it is okay for the Palestinian terrosists to kill civilians in order to 'free their country'. People like them make me ashamed of being Dutch.
To all Israelis: I hereby officialy apologize in the name of the LPF and right thinking Dutch people.
