Boy Clinton is once again crying that those evil republicans are so mean to suggest that he has any blame in corporate scandals. Clinton told ABC News that "at least I tried to do something about it", and suggested that Bush just sat around and did nothing while it happened. Clinton again FALSELY claimed that republicans blocked his attempt to fix the mess....His attempt was a trial lawyers dream...an open door to LOOT corporations, and Joe Lieberman led to charge to KILL Clintons obvious pay back to the trial lawyers. Even Ted Kennedy voted against this HORRIBLE attempt by Clinton to open the bank accounts of major corporations to democrat leaning trial lawyers.

The "Former Occupant of the Oval Office, 1993-2001" takes the measure as one of the true incompetents of the late 20th Century. Warren G. Harding starts to look better all the time. At least he had the good grace to die, and thus bring to a halt a growing degree of corruption.

Please don't forget Chis Dodd's role in loosening oversight of corporate accountants in 1995!!!

This pervert, willie klinton, does not have the God given ability to ever tell the truth.

This man is a liar. An article in Regulation Magazine on the Clinton legacy in securities litigation begins: "The voluble Bill Clinton talked extensively about a lot of topics during his years in the Oval Office, but one topic he did not say much about was securities regulation. A Lexis-Nexis search on the terms 'Clinton' and 'securities regulation'reveals only 194 hits between 1992 and 2000, and most of those are generic references to administration policy rather than to statements on the subject by the president himself." (Regulation Magazine, Summer 2001 p. 52).
The truth is, the guy didn't care jack about securities regulation, except when the interests of trial lawyers were involved. He vetoed the 1995 bill revising standards for private securities lawsuits, but this veto was rejected overwhelmingly--and the override effort was led by Democrat Christopher Dodd, not by Republicans as Clinton asserts. As the Regulation article notes, Clinton also gave a speech in which he criticized California's effort to reverse the effects of the new law in California, but then a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds.
Clinton's historical revisionism is truly pathetic. In this same jeremaid he claims that his efforts to block the 95 bill were undermined by Harvey Pitt, the current SEC head. Clinton wants us to believe that Harvey Pitt was more powerful than he was as President? That's a pretty embarrasing self-revelation, dontcha think?

You know, everytime I hear or see those two diflecting critism over Corp. mischeif, I can't help but recall their Political Mantra of 92, critical of the Reagan/Bush years as......

Gee, Bubba, then why didn't you support Arthur Levitt when he proposed that auditor independence rule back in 1999? You were still prez then, Bubba. Could it be because you had a damn good ideal then what would happen if that proposal had gone through, and what it would do to the Dems' election prospects? What did you know, Bubba, and when did you know it?

Thanks for the additional detail. This Clinton is a boy. He reminds me of a who child when caught yells, "Well, the other kid did it first!" ...He is a pathetic, miserable, self-absorbed child. Sadly, though, the media by and large allow him to lie with abandon. Without Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, etc, there is NO telling what this guy would be able to get away with.

Clinton is a despicable, scheming liar. 'Nuff said.
