Tim is disgusting this morning. His venom is Carvillian.
He asked O'Neil if he is "Totally out of touch with the American People?" Gee, I thought that described big media types like Timmy.
Now he's quoting Robert Rubin to attack Bush on the economy and corporate corruption. No quotes about Rubin loaning millions of $$ to Enron though.
O'Neill is too much of a nice guy, and Timmy knows it, hence the shark attack.

Brit Hume's interview with Secretary O'Neill was a huge contrast in civility. They both used calm voices, yet asked and answered pointed questions:
In response to Brit's worries about CEOs signing off on company financial statements, O'Neill said it would not have taken one more minute of his time as CEO of ALCOA. He always knew what was in his company's books.

I was waiting and holding my breath when russert brought up rubin to O'Niel thinking that just maybe someone would bring up rubins troubles that NOBODY seems to talk about. But no nothing was mentioned.
Don't you think that sometimes these talking heads when interviewing a Bush appointee skirt around the issue waiting for it to be brought up by the interviewee??? But these guys have more class than I do that is for sure, I would've brought it up in a heartbeat.

Exactly the way I put it to my wife...I was Apoplectic, watching that interview....Though O'Neill got in a good jab,(which he should have fired as a roundhouse...) when he said 'he's (rubin) down (i forget where) writing editorials while his company lost 50 billlion in market cap...
