INNOCENT CIVILIANS?

July 28, 2002 -- ISRAEL is taking a pounding for having killed civilians in its successful strike Tuesday on Hamas terror-leader Sheik Salah Shehada in Gaza.

But just how "innocent" were those civilians?

No - no one's suggesting that any of them personally took part in terror attacks against Israelis (not that it would be all that surprising if some had).

I wonder how many of these "innocnt" civilians danced in the streets when they heard of the deaths of innocent American and Israeli civilians.

If we knew OBL was in a particular building somewhere in Afghanistan I'm sure we would level it regardless of who else might be with him.

It is as simple as that.

Why the double standard with the Israelis then? Why jawbone the Israelis and condemn them for tactics that we would employ ourselves?

I think the terrorists are just upset that the Isrealies can use bigger and better bombs than they can.
Second, if you know a wanted terrorist is coming to meet his/her family in the same building where you live and you don't leave or take some other form of defensive measures, You deserve what you get.

In war, there are no innocent civilians. Who is out-of-bounds? Israeli children? American children? They have all been targeted, and they will continue to be targeted. If you make war, your children will be victims - count on it.
