March of 1980 was my first and last adult trip through Oregon. When I found out you couldn't pump your own gas, that pretty much did it for me. That was followed by the owl disaster that put most of the wood products industry out of business, now the forests, at one time considered to be sacred as long as loggers weren't allowed to touch them, can just go up in smoke. Not to mention the salmon/indian/white guys vs enviros crisis, and the water/salmon/fish/farmer crisis, and I'm sure I'm leaving out something important. What a state of........The only positive news is the enviros are just mum at the moment, because if they were to open their mouths, someone directly effected by fire might just put a foot somewhere.

If you're on a motorcycle you can fill your own tank, in fact they insist. :o)

You can also pump your own if you have a cardlock card, like CFN, etc...
