I'm of the opinion that most of these monsters have done this kind of thing before and have served jail time. They just don't wake up one day and decide to be a "baby raper." These people must be eliminated from society for good. As for this seemingly rash of abductions/murders I'm just not sure if it's the media coverage or if its' really increased as much as it appears. My gut says it's increased of late, but that's my gut talking.

So true. This has also made me aware of my own naive tendencies in the past to give some of these folks the benefit of the doubt and believe that they can be rehabilitated and trusted. As we speak, my niece is being "stalked" by a man with a criminal past. My brother-in-law, a retired law enforcement official in town, and my sister had taken this druggie monster under their wing and tried to help him out. Even my parents had given him odd jobs and so forth, in a misguided attempt to mentor him. Our family (and the ex-con's!) is in a state of torment over this situation, with no where to turn. We've even alerted the state's attorney; the local MADD chapters, etc., but to no avail. He's protected by law until he lands himself in jail again, but at whose expense?

Any organism that is incapable of eliminating its waste will soon die.
