If the Smart brothers were willing to sell Elizabeth for cash, why didn't they arrange to sell Ed Smart's four sons as well? After all, if they are involved in the gay community, they could get a lot more money for young boys, couldn't they? (Not that I believe this, it is a disgusting thought, but sorry, I could never get the connection that if the Smarts are gay men, they would sell a girl..)

Good point.
Do you know who the neighbor is who referred Ricci to work for them?

It is possible, however, that the Smart brothers had shady dealings with Ricci and his friends and really aren't sure if the handyman knows more than he is telling. If so, hesitation by the Smarts to absolutely condemn him is understandable. Plus, they wouldn't want to ruin the family's reputation if it isn't absolutely necessary and they believe the girl is safe.

What is happening with this case? I was in the store a week ago, and noticed on the front of a tabloid a headline that read something to the effect of how the cops solved the E. Smart case. Do you know anything about this?
