I recall a survey being taken among us New York folk at the time asking where we thought what the New York Post called the West Islip Gar-barge (the flat originated off West Islip, as I recall correctly) should dock and dump. My answer was: On top of EPA headquarters in Washington.

Or today's Senate would qualify, then the EPA could chalk it up as an environmental improvement. I remember that thing called the 'Gar-barge' and the whole incident was amusing as hell.

I remember it well.That, and floating medical waste.It was all Reagan's fault, of course, as was everything in the '80's ;-)

Did that crew not make it home once in 16 yrs??? ;-)
