Not mourning her yet!!!! But as a parent of three children, I would be hysterical if it were MY child. Even though my kids are adults now, in age anyway, I would still be hysterical!!! But I am a mom first and foremost!!!!

My guess would be that it spiked in the early to mid seventies like everything else since the liberals, or shouls I say communists took over. I recall that by 83 things had definitely gotten rather bizarre.

It's almost like there was a 'before Manson' era and an 'after Manson' era that we're now forced to live in.

Our local newspaper ran an article, stating the same facts as above. Stranger perpetrated child abductions are actually way down.

I don't think that the coverage started with Danielle van Dam, though. I think it started with Chandra Levy. Paula Zahn resusitated her career with the daily gossipy, new age coverage of Chandra Levy. The liberal news media is desperate for a news story that doesn't involve the war on terror. These stories of child abductions are made to order, they hit home with all parents and tug at your heart strings like the tapes of the phone calls home from the hi-jacked planes.

The rivers right now, yes, are low. The little bit we got this morning should be, if the flow is up at all, to the Mississippi by now. Otherwise, that water is just sitting. Can you explain why there are no prints or evidence of him ever being in the Van Dam residence? Can you explain the sudden cleaning by the Van Dams before LE got there? Can you explain why they didn't lock their doors at night? Can you explain why they lied about the dog not being able to bark? Can you explain why the police only focused in on DW, to the exclusion of everyone else? Can you explain Why the parents lied 6 times about what they did that night?

Regarding the Georgia baby kidnapped earlier this week: Thanks for the update (pubmom). I have retired to bed early the last couple of nights and haven't been able to catch the news. I did not know that the baby had been returned to the police station. Did they catch the people who did it? I hope so!
