I guess I find it strange that Ricci worked in the neighbors home, it was robbed. Then Ricci is referred to Ed Smart (by the neighbor?) and then Ed Smarts home is missing things from it after Ricci is hired. I just think that someone close to the family like a neighbor and this someone is involved by themselves or is involved in it with Ricci. Maybe the neighbor had a thing for Liz, found away to take her and knew the police would look at Ricci first. "Hey the guy robbed my home then the Smart home... it's gotta be Ricci attitude" They could get Ricci back for the robbery and take Liz at the same time. (far-fetched I know)
