As long as the Tom DeLays of the Republican Party accompany their support for Israel with the advice that "Christianity offers the only viable, reasonable, definitive answer" to life's questions, American Jews will find a viable, reasonable and definitive rationale to vote for pro-Israel Democratic alternatives.

I would hope they would vote for pro American legislators.

But then again there is a difference between being an American and just being a US citizen. - Tom

Welcome to racial politics. Get used to it. Thanks to immigration, this country is becoming less white.

Don't worry about that part where Ira says that Jews will support pro-Israel alternatives in the democratic party.

Although most Americans are pro-Israel, many Jews are not focused on the events taking place in Israel on a day to day basis.

Jewish friends have told me that they view Israel the way you and I view England, Ireland, etc.

Most of us think that all Jews are strongly aligned in some, however, that is not the case.
