Article I Section 2: The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

Article I Section 3: The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments.

Article II Section 4: The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Article III Section 1: The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour

Truth, sometimes teaching an old dog new tricks can be much harder than it seems. I'm an old dog, how old, well let's just say I've been down the road long enough to forget where I buried all the bones. Anyway, I suppose you're right about exposing the rats for what they are. So posting this piece here helps expose their idiocy for what it is. I just get very frustrated with the bombardment of demagoguery from the left.

About "winning one over," I applaud your idealism but please excuse my skepticism here. See I'm a Vietnam vet and I saw the "winning the hearts and minds" campaign in full swing. It didn't work. So call me skeptical, cynical, incredulous and any other adjective you can think of but...(whispering in your ear: I don't buy that one.) These people are brain dead. Have they stopped their lunacy since 911? No, it's probably doubled. The PC crowd is even more PC and demanding we bend over and take one in the shorts so the Arabs living in this country don't feel threatened. (Never mind that we feel threatened by their presence here.) The gobment schools and their teachers are even more determined to "indoctrinate" our children. (not mine they go to private school.) They have incrementally taken more and more and more of your freedoms away day by day by day by day.

Dear President Bush, With the Surpeme Court session getting ready to close, it may well be time for perhaps the most important domestic decision of your presidency: the appointment of a Supreme Court Justice(s). The main reason why I supported you in 2000 and why I wanted Daschle out of power in 02 (and 04) has to do with the courts. I want America courts to interpret law, not write law. During your presidential campaign you said Thomas and Scalia were your two model justices. Those are excellent models. The High Court needs more like them. Clarence Thomas recently said to students that the tough cases were when what he wanted to do was different from what the law said. And he goes by the law. This should be a model philosophy for our justices. Your father, President Bush lost his reelection campaign for 3 main reasosn, as far as I can see. 1. he broke the no new taxes pledge 2. David Souter 3. Clinton convinced people we were in a Bush recession (which we had already come out of by the time Clinton was getting sworn in)

I urge you to learn from all three of these: 1. on taxes, you're doing great. Awesome job on the tax cut. 2. good job so far on judicial appointments. I want to see more of a fight for Estrada, Owen, and Pickering, but I commend you on your nominations. 3. by staying engaged in the economic debate you'll serve yourself well

I have been thoroughly impressed with your handling of al Queida, Iraq, and terrorism. You have inspired confidence and have shown great leadership.

But I want to remind you that your Supreme Court pick(s) will be with us LONG after you have departed office. I urge you to avoid the tempation to find a "compromise" pick. Go for a Scalia or Thomas. Don't go for an O'Connor or Kennedy. To be specific, get someone who is pro-life. Roe v Wade is one of the worst court decisions I know of, and it's the perfect example of unrestrained judicial power.

I know the temptation will be tremendous on you to nominate a moderate. But remember who your true supporters are. I am not a important leader or politician. I am "simply" a citizen who has been an enthusiatic supporter of you. I am willing to accept compromise in many areas of government but I will watch your Court nomiantions extremely closely. What the Senate Dems are doing right now is disgusting, but as the President you have the bully pulpit to stop it. Democrats will back down if you turn up serious heat on them.

Moreover, I think public opinion is shifting towards the pro-life position. Dems will want you to nominate a moderate, but almost all will vote against you anyways. Pro-choice Repubs will likely still vote for you if you nominate a Scalia, after all, you campaigned on it. So Mr. President, I urge you to stick with your campaign statements and nominate justices who believe in judicial restraint, like Scalia and Thomas.

The reality is that the supreme court, quite rightfully so, sent the case back to the Florida Supreeme Court to ask them to clear up the equal treatment problem in their decision. Al lost one recount, lost a second recount, and the election was certified by the then secretary of state, now state congresswoman Kathrine Harris. Now, If good old kathy Harris did wrong, how did she get elected? If her certifying the election, one would expect the good people of FL to be less than pleased with her, but in 2002, she WON, dispite the DNC milti million dollar clinton schmear campaign.

The Seante was given all the time in the world to debate the issue in the run up to the 2002 midterm elections and, in the end the Senate approved the use of firce against the country of Iraq. In fact, they debated this so poorly that the DNC was using the same platform as the Saddoms ba'th party, and so turned off the voter with their apeasment shrill BS, the voters removed the DNC from a majority party in the Senate.

How can the party hope to atract reasonable voters when they are lieing to themselves and others?
