I'm thinking of the orifices closer to where they found a "maggott mass

That is actually evidence she might have been assaulted there. They tend to go where wounds are.

Ants are scavengers and as such clean up the environment. In their search for food they will kill and collect other insects, such as earwigs, flea and fly larvae etc. Ants normally vary in size from 2 to 7 mm long, although Carpenter Ants could stretch to 2 cm. Ants can be brown, black or red, winged or wingless, have narrow waists and elbowed antennae. There are probably more than 10,000 species of ants and they represent about 0.1% of the entire insect population. Ants are sociable insects that care for their young. When too crowded some ants carry larvae and pupae to new locations (budding) while others take flight to mate and find new places to nest (swarming).

Exactly, that tends to support the "real" bug guy's (plural) contention that bugs got to the body right away.

This last guy just took the two reports favorable to the prosecution and gave his range as the two longer dates cited by by the other "experts". When was he hired, a week or so ago.
