How long shouldn't matter. It only takes 2 seconds for a tragedy to happen. The point is, that the VD's were neglectful of their children.
Friday night, Brenda left the kids, oldest being a nine year-old boy, at home while she went to pick up pizza. Testimony is that first she called Damon to see how far away from home he was, then she was on the cell phone with Danielle the entire trip to get the pizza. She claims the trip took about 5-10 minutes and she and Damon arrived back at the house about the same time.
Note: I am just relaying testimony and not vouching for it, though cell phone records and pizza records would verify---they were not entered into evidence.
