After the Korean war I was in a AAA Bn. (M-42's) We were assigned to protect Boulder Dam in case of national emergency. (Probably because it was unlikely that enemy air would get to Boulder dam, and it was unlikely we could hit anything anyway) About once a year the Bn. would load up the beasts and head for the dam just for drill. As I understand it, this national defence thing was stopped after I got out. Maybe it is being started up again.
