Something in the back of my mind made me think that we weren't getting the whole story on this from the media. I had to search hard to get something that was more to the middle ground the far left (anti-police). It’s funny how the video bites are so damning, and can be so far from the truth. I guess that’s why we live in a republic and not a democracy. In a democracy, this guy (Morse) would already be sentenced to death, no doubt. Thought you might guys might want to read this thought out editorial.

If the cop is in the wrong, so be it. BUT, even if so, there ain't no way the kid deserves the money he is going to get. The hype and outrage will always overshadow the facts.

Yeah, but it's more fun to just jump to conclusions---you get more audience on TV and radio, you sell more papers, you get bigger jury awards, you confirm your own "I'm no racist" self-image and the PC prejudices you imbibed with your mother's milk, and you get a cheap@$$ thrill when the snap judgements of you and your caca-brained friends cost in the end unforeseeably more loss of money, peace, property, lives, careers, public trust, and....uh, hmm?...oh, yes, justice. I, like everyone, else saw the vedio. I think the cop is lieing about the crotch thing. If you look at the cop's facial expression, it's more the "take this a$$hole" than the expression of someone that's in pain...

I think this is viewed in the wrong light. They ignore the fact the kid put up quite a strugle. And the officer
punched the kid becuase the kid grabbed the officer's groin. The news media delayed this release of critical info
thus altering the public opinion. However becuase of this the officer may get off simply due to fact that every man has made up his mind and thus destrying the chance of any fair trial. You must remember that rodney king was very high on drugs which made him able to put up so much of a fight and take the night stick hits. The news already has polutetd the chance of fair justice.
