Your wrong on this one. This was chacking a walnut with a steamroller - you certainly crack the nut, you just don't like the consequences. This gives the PLO too many dead children to parade in front of the cameras. Israel looses in Europe and the US with this move. Now Hambone, haven't you heard? It's not about peace over there, it's about killing as many from the "other" side as possible, the "other" side being whichever side you're not on.
For example, if you're a Pali, perfectly reasonable to support the killing of innocent Israelis.
If you're an Israeli, perfectly reasonable to support the killing of innocent Palis.
C'mon Hambone, get with the program, and choose a side to hate with impunity.

If you are living in an apartment building with a Hamas leader, I would highly suggest that you move ASAP! Expanding on your thought
The guy was a huge target. And when you live by/next/with/around targets, it behoove you to move or you may end up as colateral damage. The world is full of ignorant people oblivious to what's is going on in a war/terrorist zone, which could make them dead. Look at Afghanistan today: A Wedding celebration is taking place close to guns[targets] firing at U.S. fighter aircraft. Hello?
Sometimes smart weapons are not so smart and fail to guide correctly toward their targets and miss. And there are times of pilot failure... When the bombs in bullets fly, get outta of Dodge.

Psst! Read all my comments... Me saying Israel could care what anyone else thinks is a GOOD thing.

War sucks. It's an unfortunate thing, but it does happen. And just where were the cries when innocent children were killed in homicide bombings? There weren't any because too many people are sympathizing with the Palestinians. Bottom line is, if you don't send bombers, you, in turn, will not get bombed.

Hambone Northpaw, haven't you heard? It's not about peace over there, it's about killing as many from the "other" side as possible, the "other" side being whichever side you're not on.

North, see my post #83 for the complete story here. Just thought you'd like to hear that you're not the only one that sees the insanity of both sides.

innocent Israeli children are probably going to die in the next day or two when they come back for revenge. I do not think they are holding back one bit now. I think every time they can convince some moron to strap on a bomb they send him out that day. So far no increase at all. Same old, same old

Yeah, I see 14 in that list. ;-p

Bottom line is, if you don't send bombers, you, in turn, will not get bombed. Israel had the right tact in publicly regretting the loss of civilian life. They did it right.
Knowing you, you'd be all rolling on the ground with grief if a dog or worse, a puppy, were killed.
Someone made in God's image, even a demonic, intolerant, militant, imperialist sired child is worth a bit of "sorry about that."

Well if Saeb Arekat gets his way like usual on CNN, then he'll be saying how this IDF attack was worse than the homicide attacks.
That lowlife, Arekat, will claim rat poison was in the shrapnel,
and CNN won't even correct him, that such wickedness is Hamas' brutal scheme.
CNN will spin, "Yes, there has been rat poison in shrapnel in this conflict, that's right."

But I get the feeling it's more public posturing while behind the scenes they are clapping.I believe you hit the nail on the head, there's no way George W. Bush couldn't be smiling when he heard about the 'taking out' of Salah Shehadeh,Creator of Hamas.Interestingly enough,a few weeks ago there was a close-up picture of him on Yahoo,as a passenger in what looked like a minivan or pick-up truck, so it isn't like he was hiding or anything,he probably just thought "I'll always be a free man". LOL He is completely free now, that's for sure.

Oh the liberal media will spin this for all it's worth. CNN has become a puppet network for the Palestinians anyway. Expecting them to actually report facts would be expecting far too much. Notice how you hear very little outrage from moderate Arab states...

Bottom line is, if you don't send bombers, you, in turn, will not get bombed.Well that theory is only working in one direction. The Israelis have held up their military during cease-fires. However, when they stop bombing, the Pallies somehow forget to stop as well.

Funny cartoons, no doubt. Like I've said before, I don't support the Palis either.

"Bush has to condemn this publicly due to the death of children. However, if you don't think we are making high-level calls to Israel congatulating them on killing a very high level Hamas leader, you don't jack."
He didn't have to condemn the attack which was successfully executed with target destroyed. By merely sending a message of regret concerning the death of the innocent, Bush could have sent a real and deliberate message to terrorists and those who harbor and live with terrorists in their midst...'rid yourselves of them or be prepared to die with them. Terrorism will not be tolerated!' "You're either with us or against us!"
But rather, Bush chooses to acquiesce to terrorism when condemning actions of those fighting for their very lives against terrorism...all the while promising to work toward a state for those who terrorize...IOWs, rewarding their terrorism with a state of their very own pretending all will be well with the world when terrorists have a state of their own.

Very true.
