The story I heard was that the Afghanis were firing their weapons in the air in celebration of the wedding.
Now not to minimize this tragedy, but common sense would almost dictate that firing guns in the air in a war zone in the vicinity of warplanes may not be a good idea. Ranks right up there with pointing a pellet gun at a cop just as a joke.

"We had people on the ground with eyes on targets who saw anti-aircraft (guns) and targeted them," Do people fire anti-aircraft weapons to celebrate a wedding?
If enough of them get killed doing it, will that tendency be weeded out of the gene pool?

Hmmm. I wonder if Mullet Omar was a wedding "guest"?

What happened to all of the shit those bastards talked about "collateral damage" after the Sept. 11th atrocity? I guess they don't like when they are on the receiving end, and it's THEIR collateral that gets damaged!
