Interesting. He even admits that if we wanted to...it would take us 10 years to try and deploy any new nuclear weapons. Not new designs. Just the old ones. Chilling. Equally chilling is the breezy way he reiterates the GWB-Dogma about trusting without verifying. If Jimmy Carter had said any of this, he would have been rightfully impeached. Ditto Bubba. Is there a single senator that will put National Security FIRST, and who will stand up to this insanity????

I think it is probably not too soon to be considering the drafting of Articles of Impeachment against GWB for treason. In fact, it may already be too late. He may have done the worst he can do to our national security...as Rumsfeld indicates he is doing damage that will not be undoable for 10 years after he leaves office.

our decision to proceed with reductions as deep as the ones outlined in the Moscow Treaty is premised on decisions to invest in a number of other critical areas, such as intelligence, ballistic and cruise missile defense, and a variety of conventional weapons programs funded in our 2003 budget request.A false dichotomy. Either maintain our inexpensive ALREADY deployed weapons which have preserved the peace, and keep them in readiness for whomever threatens...or increase intell, NMD, and conventional weapons programs. A patriotic president would be saying let's have both. Only traitors would say we can't. It is truly alarming what GWB is saying through Donald...
