Sounds like a UT fan, hmm?
I can't throw any stones at anyone's school here; my BS was finally cobbled together from more schools than I can count. Trying to get enough residency credits to qualify for a degree from that school while on active duty can be a bit of a challenge.
My package I got from the base education office on retirement lists 394 semester hours...sheesh. And then, with a BS (with 4.0 average), GRE verbal & analytical scores in the top 10% (no comment on the math score, but I did OK), I STILL had to take the Texas Academic Skills Test before enrolling in a gradute program with UTSA (U of Texas, San Antonio) because I'd never 'taken any classes with a Texas institution'. They had to, as they explained, make sure I was 'prepared' for college level work, dont'cha know...
Some of the questions on that test bore a striking resemblence to the ones on that Marine test... I may be a wee bit of a cynic, but I have an inkling the money charged for the test might have had a bit to do with that requirement (but, to be fair, they have since dropped that requirement for those entering with degrees).
