The vice president also lamented how more than 800 Bush nominees
to federal judgeships have yet to be confirmed by the Senate.
EIGHT HUNDRED? My gosh, I knew they were OBSTRUCTIONISTS,
but I had NO idea it was 800 they are blocking!

Looks like a typo. I can believe 80, but I'm not even sure that there are 800 total federal judgeships in existence, much less vacant. Of course, I could be wrong.

Yep, and we don't see that making headlines or on any of the talking head TV channels, but I bet we would be if the Republican controlled Congress of 1994-2000 had stonewalled Clinton in like fashion.

Statement from DNC Chairman McAuliffe on Vice President Cheney and Halliburton
Story Filed: Friday, July 19, 2002 2:20 PM EST
WASHINGTON, Jul 19, 2002 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- The following is a statement from DNC Chairman McAuliffe on Vice President Cheney and Halliburton:
"Vice President Cheney should explain to the people of Houston why his company misled investors while he was CEO of Halliburton. The people of Houston know all too well the painful results of corporate accounting tricks.
"Vice President Cheney should spend more time explaining his business practices and the accounting tricks he used as CEO of Halliburton and less time raising money for the Republican Party.
"Restoring investor faith in corporations is vital to getting the economy moving in the right direction. The administration has to come clean on questions surrounding their business practices before the American people take them seriously on corporate responsibility."

Ah! Thanks!

Yes, this is a well-kept secret, and one of those keeping it secret thus far has been none other than George W. Bush, still trying to "reach out" to Democrat voters.
To: Theodore R.
Well, actually Bush has mentioned in his speeches that the Senate needs to

move his appointments along. And, although elected by only
HALF the voting
population, he is the President for
ALL U.S. citizens. Thanks, FRiend.
