If you live near a forest, have you car/suv/pickup full of gas and parked pointed out of the driveway.

Put the baby pictures/books in suitcases and other items of value in suitcases or cloth carry bags. Have them ready to to go. Pre pack as much as you can in your trunk. If you are on medicine make sure that a week's supply is in several packed items and on board your in vehicle and easy to reach. Cell phones can be worth their weight in gold.

Have a couple of days supply of water, food and some blankets or sleeping bags.

Things can be replaced but people and memories that are associated with pictures/letters/personal documents can't be replaced.
