Unless of course you belong to a gun club, militia, or, get ready to gasp, one of the State TRT's. Then, of course, no law need be broken for your group to be actively investigated. Where's Mulder and Skully when we need them?

"The FBI is only concerned when there is a violation of the law," said Steven Berry
Crime follow up. That's all they have. Several courts have ruled that it's not an LEOs job to protect people from crime. Rather, to enforce the law. In that case, should any eco-terrorists on their tour of destruction break the law it is LEOs that failed to enforce the law. The FBI has been informed of the high probability of crimes to come from a specific group with a known location. The FBI needs to enforce the law. If the eco-terrorists do commit crimes it will be taken into account the amount of negligence and or incompetence by the FBI.
I mean, if the FBI can't competently thwart known eco-terrorists from committing crimes with a map of their tour schedule in hand it is blatantly obvious that the FBI would be useless in thwarting unknown and difficult-to-locate Islamic terrorist.
