Hey Nick,

Remember this post from an old Spirt-of-Truth anthrax thread?

In my recent post concerning the close proximity of Waly Samar's college (Hunter College) to the place of work of the latest victim of inhalation Anthrax in New York City (the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital), Freeper 'Nick Danger' posted the following tidbit of information:

"I do not know what makes you think someone named 'Samar' has anything to do with this, but you've got my attention. An individual named Samar currently lives in Trenton, NJ. This individual appears to know people with names like Alhaeib and Al-Saadhl."

Anything else ever come of this? Any names like "Abbas" on that list?

I wonder what a "fine-food particulate mixer" might sound like?

Anything like the sounds reported from the apartment of those polite, but strange, middle-eastern men at the DelRay Racquet Club?

Two neighbors also said they often heard odd noises coming from the apartment late at night,with one woman describing it as the sound of chipping tiles and another as rolling marbles.

I wonder if the late-night swims the hijackers took in the (presumably chlorinated) pool typically commenced immediately after the noises stopped for the night?

Searching around I found the curious following footnote from an OKC bombing report:

606. (*) Abdul Rahman Yassin, an Iraqi indicted for his part in the World Trade Center bombing fled to Baghdad. His brother, Musab Yasin, provided a safehouse for the later plots. While the New York office of the FBI wanted to arrest him, curiously, the Washington office objected. Another Iraqi with a Ph.D. in microbiology, currently living in New Jersey, is Walied Samarrai.

I found no other references to either Walied Samarrai or Waly Samar though.

Well, that's interesting. I suppose "Waly Samar" could be a shortened, or americanized type name for something longer.

Hunter is in Manhattan. NYCTC is in Brooklyn. Someone could be at both, I guess, taking classes or a grad teaching at one, doing his degree at another.

BTW, I find Nothing about "waly" on the web except for "spirit of truth" site. That surprised me. Where does this "Waly" story come from?

Shermy ...you missed my point. Hunter college is about a 1000 feet from where the NYC Anthrax victim worked ....Remember the woman who contracted anthrax and they couldnt figure it out. I gleamed that bit of info from SOT's site he even has a map of how close Hunter College is to where the victim lived and worked...

I knew of Hybridon from the Cole attack days, when I googled Al-Amoudi and Chebeir and Mahfouz.

Too bad FR ousted Spirit of Truth.
