The widow of the CIA officer fatally shot moments after questioning American Taliban John Walker Lindh criticized yesterday the deal that ensures that her husband's prisoner will be freed as he reaches middle age.

"We as a family believed in the charges that were laid against Mr. Lindh. We believed in the government's case. And we felt strongly that if they had pursued those charges that they would have been able to convict him on the ones that were laid," said Shannon Spann, who met and married Johnny "Mike" Spann while both were training as CIA agents.

I am absolutely convinced that if anyone harmed somebody I loved, taking matters into my own hands would be an viable option. That includes my pets as well.

It's funny how, by default, Mr Lindh and his family support the subjugation and terrorizing of women.

I'm surprised the lesbians from NOW aren't calling for Johnny Jihads hide.

So much for practicality - From an article on The Lindh plea

the prosecution team was mindful of the demands that a long series of pretrial hearings and trial would place on more than 30 of their military personnel witnesses. These potential witnesses are currently at the center of actual anti-terrorism efforts around the globe. Pulling them away from their dangerous and vital duties to hang around courtroom corridors for months was correctly included in the prosecution calculus.

The defense must have calculated that as well. D**m them.

Now look at the mess that is created.

Mrs. Spann is a class act and a good conservative. I have the greatest respect for her, not just because her husband was a great American, but because she displays such grace during what must be impossible to deal with.

No doubt she would love to grab a 9mm and visit Johnny Jihad (beginning with the kneecaps), but instead she just conducts herself way above and beyond that.

I'd be happy if they'd just strap the little ba$##rd to Mumia and send them on a suicide bombing run in downtown "Palestine".
