The thought of a connection between Samantha's murder and Danielle's hit me immediately, then I wondered about the difference between entering a home at night, and snatching from the street...

I eventually wondered if there is any chance that Danielle actually woke up earlier than usual that morning, and went outside to play or walk the dog, and then was snatched in a similar manner.

With Danielle's parents sleeping off the party the night before, they may not have heard her go out...

Nope. Westerfield was in jail when Samantha was kidnapped.

I wondered the same exact thing, RnMomof7. Samantha and her family didn't live all that far north of San Diego, and both Samantha and Danielle were found in the same condition.

I wonder now if Danielle might have been outside playing that evening, and was abducted by this same person.
