The UK, sometime during the 1930s. Radical left wingers dominate the political debate. Homosexuals and nihilist intellectuals degrade the culture, attack parental authority and convince the young that the only thing that matters is to feel good now. All sense of duty is out the window. Meanwhile, the few who call themselves "Conservatives" are mostly deluded into believing the fiction that commerce will always trump war - if only we trade with a nation, they shall never become our enemy. As if the entire world were inhabited by commercial real estate developers and there would never emerge any more harsh, beligerant, expansionist leaders in any quarter.
