I think Fred is referring to how Congress protects its own and how the D.C. police, whose pay is approved by Congress, follows its orders. I'd like to know what happened that that policy didn't apply to Trafficant (or to Nixon some years ago, for that matter.) Which politicians don't get protected?

Trafficant has been at odds with DoJ since forever, attacking the blatant corruption, malfeasance, and murder in things like TWA800, Waco, Ruby Ridge, mob control of the FBI in Ohio, etc. That pretty much voids any protection otherwise afforded and guarantees 60 FBI agents tacking your penny-ante graft for over a decade . . .
