Katherine receives the Guardian of Seniors Rights Award from Jim Martin, President of the 60 Plus Association. The award, which is presented annually to public servants who have outstanding records of support for senior citizens, was presented at the Heron House Assisted Living Facility in Sarasota.

On behalf of the Heron House residents, Katherine accepts a portrait of a Heron from John Ryan, the residents council president.

Katherine thanks the residents for their generosity and talks about senior issues.

Katherine meets the residents and supporters after the award presentation.

Katherine talks with resident Trudy Hinett about social security.

Katherine takes a snapshot with Jim Martin, John Ryan and Ed Taylor at the facility.
Other Katherine news includes the editor of Sarasota Herald Tibune being asked to resign due to biased comments about Katherine by the liberal newspaper employee. This was a surprising turnabout considering the liberal nature of this paper in such a republican area. So the other reporters are allowed to give biased news, they just can't be too obvious about it in an email or they might be asked to resign.
Aside from that Katherine has been incredibly busy going from coffee to barbq to grassroots meeting. As their office stated in reference to their furry opponent percy, the opponents have a lot of paw-shaking to do to catch up with them.
