Do you all agree that men have the same responsibility to chastity before marriage as do women?

Fair question. As a devout Christian, I believe that I have that responsibility. But that doesn't take away the fact that many men (who may not believe they have that resonsibility) are looking for women who are chaste. You may think that's unfair. It's just a reality that many women who want to get married ignore. Most men, in my experience, don't want a wife who has 'done the rounds' with many men. I think there are good reasons for this. You may disagree.

No, I don't disagree -- I think in general, a lot of women have sex with people and subsequently regret it. Where I tend to have problems is when men are encouraged to "score," and women are excoriated for doing the same thing. I think in general, humans of both genders are better off getting to know one another before bringing sex into the equation.

I also think the double standard is not wholly the fault of men -- women need to expect the same of their future spouses as their spouses expect of them.
