Natives of the 'Burgh know what the Parkway is. OK, first off, that illustrates all the problems with this town in one neat little package. Second, what is it, exactly? I HAVE NO IDEA!!!

OK, first off, that illustrates all the problems with this town in one neat little package. Second, what is it, exactly? I HAVE NO IDEA!!!"The Parkway" refers to the expressway that was built in the late '40s and '50s to "modernize" the traffic flow of US 22 (William Penn Highway) and US 30 ( Lincoln Highway) from roughly Monroeville, through Downtown Pittsburgh, and out to the airport. It is formally known as "The Penn-Lincoln Parkway" (kinda catchy, isn't it?). From downtown to Monroeville it's called "the Parkway East". From downtown, across the Fort Pitt Bridge and out to the airport, it is "the Parkway West". Other "Parkways" are bogus.

Don't ask questions, just drive...that's my advice, it's better to just drive than to try to figure out Pittsburgh's streets, you eventually get the hang of it.

naming that bridge after that team is pretty good, lots of people will see it with the building up of that area...that is, if it can stay built up.
