Someone needs to make a comprehensive list of the manufacturers doing this so we can have a boycott list.
Well, you probably guessed one of the poultry plant in my town is Tysons...I've heard that textile plants throughout the south (GA, NC especially) are playing a similar game : They announce they're shutting down, lay off or terminate all workers-then reopen a few months later with a new staff of 'imported' workers. Whether that's better or worse than simply leaving the country and reopening in Mexico, I don't know,but I've seen several articles posted to FR regarding this practice.
I no longer eat chicken or poultry products at all, as it's nearly impossible to avoid Tysons or Honeysuckle white products, since the meat packing industry has so 'consolidated' itself into only a handful of huge operators.
